Meet Ki'erra Jackson - Cheerleading Capt 2012 - 2013
February 4, 2013Kendrick High School
It hasn't always been easy for Senior Ki'erra Jackson. She started with the team four years ago and worked her way to captain this year. Ki'erra said, "It has to be in the heart". The asumption is that cheerleaders do not work hard, but I'm here to tell you that's just not the case, she added! We work tremendousely hard on representing our school, our families, and our teams everytime we perform.
At Kendrick, my education takes priority but as soon as my studies are done...I concentrate on preparing for our next event. It starts with me! So I try to lead by example. Tyring not to complain about conditioning or extra long days.
I've cheered for four years and my time at KHS is almost done, Cheerleading is not just a sport to me it's a passion. Cheerleading taught me a lot of lessons and also help me mature. Cheering is what made me like high school in the beginning, and I plan to go to the next level and continuing what I love to do best....I haven't decided on which school I am going to attend, but you bet wherever it is on the first day f try-outs, I will be there.
