By Randall Durant of Keller High School Basketball

The Keller Indians went to Abilene on Friday night and beat Odessa Permian 59-53 to advance to the regional quarterfinals of the state playoffs. Keller was a bit tight early as the score was tied 29-29 at the half. Nolan Taylor scored 10 in the first quarter, but Keller gave up 7 offensive rebounds in the first half that led to 9 Permian points. The 2nd half looked more like Indians basketball as Keller slowly imposed their will on Permian. Nolan Taylor scored a game  high 20 points. Brock Anders put together another great all around game playing great defense and scoring 8 points, 5 assists.  Ryan Feifer had 11 points and 11 rebounds as Keller controlled the  boards in the 2nd half. Kyle Tanner had 7 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists, RJ Nembhard had 7 points and 6 deflected passes, Erik Frederiksen had 6 points. Keller improves to 24-5 on the year.
