Indians beat Southlake again!

The Keller Indians took Southlake Carroll's best shot on Tuesday night and prevailed with a 78-70 win. It was the third win over Southlake this year and Keller's 8th in a row over the Dragons. In the 1st 2 games Keller held Southlake to 33 and 38 points. The Dragons were not going to play at that pace again as they sent wavwe after wave at Keller and tried to pressure the Indians into a faster pace. Keller responded by jumping to a 21-10 lead after the 1st quarter behind 3 there's from Brock Anders. Southlake pulled within 37-29 at the half, but could get no closer than 6 the rest of the way as Keller had the answers for whatever the Dragons threw at them. Kyle Tanner had eight 2nd quarter points and Nolan Taylor had 9 in the third, leaving Anders to finish it off with 9 points in the 4th quarter.
Brock Anders played his best all around game as an Indian. Scoring inside, outside, playing great defense and delivering timely passes. He had 22 points,5 assists and 4 steals,Nolan Taylor was his usual steady, yet dominant self adding 21 points and 14 rebounds,Kyle Tanner added 19 points 7 rebounds 5 assists and 4 steals, Ryan Feifer had a big 3 pointer in the 4th and finished with 12 points, RJ nembhard had 2 points and 7 assists and Erik Frederiksen had 2 points.
Keller is currently ranked #23 in the Max Preps state rankings, and #7 in the Dallas morniong news poll. More importantly, the win puts them at 9-1 in district 4-5A play and alone in first place. Keller is now 19-4 on the year. 4 tough district games remain. Friday the Indians go on the road to Timbercreek. With only a one game lead, there is no room for error.
