Austyn was named Offensive Player of the Year in District 5-4A. Austyn made 99 three pointers on the year. He made more 3's per game than any 5A player in the DFW metroplex!! Despite being the focus of every team, and playing with a nasty blister through the 2nd half of district, Austyn averaged 12.9 ppg and was still the coaches choice for Offensive player of the year. Mike Opolski was named Defensive Player of the Year in District 5-4A. Mike was the driving force behind Keller's district title. Doing many things that don't show up in the box score. By the way he did a few things that did show up. He averaged 11.1 points, 4.7 assists(6th in DFW), 5.8 rebounds, and 2.4 steals. Mike finished 2nd to Richland's Leyton Hammonds in the MVP vote. He led a defense that allowed 46.7 ppg (5th in DFW) These two guys were dominant at times this year, and were the key elements to the Indians success this year. CONGRATULATIONS!!
