Indians beat Ridge to stay tied for 1st

The Keller Indians continued their dominance over crosstown rival Fossil Ridge with an exciting 70-63 overtime win. It was Keller's 8th in a row over the Panthers. Both teams played well, as the lead changed hands all night. Keller led 18-13 after the 1st only to see Ridge take a 32-30 halftime lead.  Blake Stewart's put back of his own free throw miss gave Keller the 49-48 lead after three and Ridge led most of the 4th quarter until Keller tied it up to force overtime. Alec Ingraham took the overtime tip in for a layup, and Keller held on for the 70-63 win. The Indians were 16-20 from the free throw line continuing a trend in district of shooting the free ones well. Mike Opolski had a career high 30 points including 8 in overtime. On the night Mike made 4 old fashioned three point plays, two in overtime to seal the win for Keller. Austyn Kennedy had 15, Kyle Tanner 9, Alec Ingraham 7, Nolan taylor 5, and Blake Stewart 4. The Indians improve to 17-9 on th year, and 7-1 in district play. They remained tied for 1st place with Richland. Keller hosts Haltom friday night so come out and support your local Indians.
