Indians win a pair, play for championship tomorrow!

The Keller Indians met up with the Indians from Waxahachie in the first round of the Springcreek Thanksgiving shootout at Arlington Martin on Friday and came away 73-50 winners. Keller led 15-11 after one quarter and pushed it to 37-19 at th half. Waxahachie never threatened again as Keller led 60-34 after three quarters. Austyn Kennedy had 15 points, Alec Ingraham 13, Kyle Tanner 11, Quinn Shoop 9, Mike Opolski 9, Derek Malone 4, Blake Stewart 3, Trevor Stafford 3, Brock Anders 2, and Erik Frederiksen 2 points. 

The win put Keller in the semifinals against Arlington Martin. This was a close game the whole way, with neither team haing nore than a 6 point advantage. Keller led 14-12 after one quarter behind 6 Mike Opolski points. Alec Ingraham had 6 in the 2nd as Keller trailed 32-28  the half. Just as it looked Martin would stretch their lead in the third, Austyn Kennedy popped in a quick 9 points and it was 41-41 after 3 quarters. Keller held on for the 53-50 win. Austyn Kennedy had 17 points, Alec Ingraham had 14, Mike Opolski 13, Kyle Tanner 6, and Brock Anders 4 points. With the win the Indians improve to 3-2 on the year and will play in the tournament finals tomorrow at 7 pm. SO COME GET LOUD AND SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL INDIANS!!!
