Indians lose opener in Overtime

The Keller Indians opened the 2012-2013 season with an overtime loss to the Flower Mound Jaguars. Keller got off to a slow start and trailed 15-23 at the half. In the second half Keller picked up the pace a bit and rallied in the fourth to force overtime. Keller trailed by six with just over a minute to go when Alec Ingraham forced a Jaguar turnover Kyle Tanner hit a three. Mike Opolski added a basket a few seconds later and the Indians were within one. 17 seconds left and Oposlki gets the steal. Blake Stewart makes one of two free throws and overtime here we come. Unfortunately Flower Mound took control in overtime and pulled away for the 54-47 win.

Mike Opolski led Keller with 19 points,7 rebounds, 5 assists, and 4 steals. Kyle Tanner chipped in 13 points. Freshmen Nolan Taylor's varsity debut went well as he added 14 points. Blake Stewart had 1 point.

The Indians JV won 44-40 in  a tight contest. Blake Nelson led the way with 15 points, Ryan Feifer 9, Christian Guillory 7, Matt Murphy 6, Kevin Downey 4, and Conner Estes had 3 points.

Freshmen A team also won 69-61. Paul Brewer had 17, Austin Reynolds 10, Austin McGee 9, Keiran Rye 8, Landon Rowlett 7, Tyler Tutt 7, Layton O'Neal 4, Cameron Johnson 4, and Anthony Savera had 1 point.
