The lady Tigers (6-9) faced off with the Texans of Pasadena's Sam Rayburn High School (11-8) on Monday night making easy work of the Lady Texans 46-34. The Tigers are playing well as they prepare to head into district play on Friday and then the upcoming Willis tournament (next weekend). The tigers came out ready to play out scoring the Lady Texans 12-5 in the first quarter and kept a lead during the entire game. In the second period the Lady Texans closed the gap down to five points but never could take the lead from the resilient Lady Tigers. In the second period Rayburn did out score the Tigers 17-15 with help from Meaghan Scott who had 16 points in the game.
After halftime the Lady Tigers decided enough was enough and only allowed the Lady Texans to score six points in each of the last two periods.
