Entering the sixth inning, the Patriots held a 7-1 advantage over the Kinder Yellow Jackets. The Yellow Jackets proceeded to score nine runs in the next two innings to down the Lady Patriots 10-8. The Lady Patriots scored five runs in the second inning behind a 3-run home run by freshman Brooke Lee and a 2-run home run by freshman Katie Brignac. The Patriots lone senior, Priscilla Burns, added a sacrifice fly RBI to give the Patriots a 7-0 lead early in the game. The Lady Patriots finished the season 24-9 overall and a semi-final appearance, which was their first since 2007's state championship season! Congratulations to the Lady Patriots on a great season!
