Patriots fare well in preseason scrimmage

August 16, 2012
John Curtis Christian High School

On Wednesday evening on the campus of St. Paul High School in Covington, La., the Patriot football team took to the field to face the Wolves from St. Paul and the Crusaders from Brother Martin High School. The Patriot offenses (all groups, the 1's, 2's, 3's and 4's) scored numerous times against both teams. Defensively, only the Wolves second unit scored on the Patriots' second unit on the last drive of the night. No other team or unit scored on the Patriot defense. It was a solid showing for the #5 ranked team in the nation. They will play in the Covington jamboree next Friday night in Covington against the homestanding Lions. They will be the second game of the doubleheader that night, as kickoff is set for tentatively 7:30.
