JV Football

When it came to JV this year, there was a really good turn out as far as number of players. With 19 freshman and 14 sophmores, we have plenty of depth in all positions.

In their first game, against Siuslaw they clinched the win in over time. Up 14-0 at half time, they felt comfortable going in to the second half with a nice lead. Only to find out they couldn’t get so cocky. After a key player, Joe Schacher, got hurt in the third quarter, only a few 20 yards or so from Siuslaw scoring, it didn’t look as good as they thought. Another score from Siuslaw in the fourth quarter and no score from JC, it wasn’t looking good for the Tigers at all. Now, in half time, Siuslaw started 20 yards from the endzone. Only to get stopped from the Tigers on a fourth down and not score. JC’s ball now and on a fourth down play, not but 5 yards from the endzone Brett Morris ran it straight in, right up the middle.

The tigers, 2-1 at this point in the season, are feeling really well about the future. Their only loss (To Taft in their second game.) being by less than a field goal, they truly out played the opposing team they lost to, only having a couple mistakes late in the game that caused them to fall. Both mistakes being interceptions, one ran back for a touchdown.

The most recent game at North Marion HS, was a successful one. Very happy with this victory considering the final score was 33-6. Not a lot to say about this one however, the score explaining pretty much explains it. We tore it up. Joe Schacher, Kannon Sietz, Jesse Debates, Taylor Coats and Brett Morris all scored one touchdown. Bradley silver making 3 of his 5 field goals.
