Braun Champion @ Rotary Tournament

The Jamestown High School Wrestling team took it to the mat this past weekend in the annual Bismarck Rotary Wrestling Tournament in Bismarck on January 4th & 5th.  The team placed 12th overall just a point shy of 11th place Dawson County (Glendive, MT) and 2 pts. shy of Grand Forks Red River High School to keep them out of the top ten.

Zane Braun kept his unbeaten season going recording 5 victories and a Rotary Championship to add to his resume.  Braun is now 24-0 on the season.  He defeated Grand Forks Central's Bryce Fish 3-1 in overtime for the championship.

Jaden Horstad was defeated in his championship quest by Mandan's Curt Zachmeier 13-5 at 126 pounds.  Paxton Mewes finished in 4th place at 113 losing to Dickinson's Austin Hutzenbihler 2-0 in overtime.
