Boys Hockey Participates in Jamboree

The JHS Boys hockey team participated in the annual West Fargo preseason Jamboree. They played 3 fifty minute run time scrimmages against Fargo North, West Fargo and Fergus Falls. The Jays played the defending state champions in Fargo North Spartans to a zero to zero tie. In the second scrimmage the Packers squeaked by the Jays 3-2. and in the final scrimmage of the day, the Jays nipped the Otters 1-0.  Offensively, the Jays got goals from Sr Jake Stilwell and Fr Austin Rene against West Fargo and Jr Nick Watne got the lone goal in the victory against the Otters.  Sr's Ben Walz and Tygh Yatskis split time in each scrimmage and both played well in each of their outings. 

Next up for the Jays are the Grafton/Park River Spoilers. They come to town Tuesday November 20, 2012. The 2012 NDHSAA runner up Spoilers are always a true test of the season to come. JV game starts at 5:15 and the puck drops at 7:30 at John L Wilson Arena for the Varsity contest.
