Bennion Best in Field; Jays Place 4th!

Sierra Bennion was not only the top Blue Jay performer, but the overall medalist yesterday in Mandan at Prairie West Golf Course which will be the site of the WDA & State Meets later this fall.  Bennion's score of 79 edged Dickinson's Rachel Jahner by two strokes to gain her the win.  This was the first tournament win for the Jamestown freshman. 

Teammate Maria LeFevre also had a good round in the windy conditions posting a 93.  This was good enough for 10th place and an automatic qualifying score for the state meet as well.

As a team the Blue Jays finished in 4th place for one of their best finishes as a team on the year.  Next action for the Jays is Monday, Sept 17th @ Rolla Country Club for the TMCHS Invite.
