Strong showing for Diboll cross country teams at SFA invitational

The LumberJack and LadyJack cross country teams competed in the SFA LumberJack Invitational on Saturday, September 17. 

The LumberJacks were once again led by strong performance from Hector Lopez and Tony Ramos.  Lopez finished 12^th against an extremely strong field, with Ramos close behind in 19^th place.  The rest of the LumberJacks also ran strong races.  Jose Flores, Andrew Hernandez, and Scott Smith finished the scoring for Diboll, with Steven Badeaux and Tyler Reynolds finishing close behind them.  Out of 18 strong teams the Diboll squad finished in 8^th place as they continue to improve each week. With his strong performance Hector Lopez is the runner of the week.

The LadyJacks also competed well.  Kendal Mitchell was the first finisher for the women, followed by Sara Badeaux, Ariel Gonzalez, and Paige Funderburk. 

This race also saw 7 Diboll Junior High runners compete.

The teams are in action again on Saturday, at Huntington HS.
