Sara Rondeau has been appointed the women’s golf head coach at Indiana University East, the school announced Monday.

Rondeau joined the Red Wolves coaching staff earlier this summer as an assistant coach for the women’s basketball program.

Rondeau previously was a women’s golf assistant coach for parts of three seasons at Olivet Nazarene University. Olivet Nazarene qualified for the NAIA National Championship during Rondeau’s final season with the program.

Rondeau is a native of Albuquerque, New Mexico. She played two seasons of college golf at Hannibal-LaGrange College, an NAIA program.

“My goal is to help build up the golf program and be competitive in the different tournaments we attend,” Rondeau said.

Danielle Kaufman, who coached the IU East women’s golf team during the 2014 spring season, stepped down to pursue an opportunity in Illinois.

Rondeau will continue to serve as a women’s basketball assistant coach and as a producer for Red Wolves Sports Network game broadcasts and coaches shows.
