RICHMOND, Ind. - The Indiana University East men's tennis team hit a winner in its 2013 spring opener, defeating Thomas More College 9-0 at Glen Miller Park. The Red Wolves won all three doubles matches 8-1 and dropped no more than one game in four of the six singles matches to clinch the team win in 90 minutes. Redshirt junior Josh Hollingsworth (Richmond, Ind./Indiana University) and freshman Connor Kramer (Shirley, Ind./Eastern Hancock High School) both won in singles and doubles in their IU East spring debuts. Hollingsworth was a three-time all-state player at Richmond High School who transferred from IU Bloomington to IU East for his final semester of undergraduate studies. Sophomore Ty Butler (Wadesville, Ind./North Posey High School), redshirt junior Adam Derengowski (Richmond, Ind./Richmond High School) and junior Justin Judd (West Milton, Ohio/Milton-Union High School) also won in singles and doubles for IU East as the Red Wolves won a spring opener for the first time in the program's three-year history. Thomas More is 0-1. IU East hosts Indiana University Southeast on March 17 at noon at Glen Miller Park in the Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference opener for both teams.
