RICHMOND, Ind. - Senior guard Marcus Isaac scored 32 points in his final regular season home game to boost the Indiana University East men's basketball team to a 82-73 Senior Night win against Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference opponent Brescia University on Feb. 5 in the Richmond High School Tiernan Center. "Definitely a good finish," said Isaac (Indianapolis, Ind./Purdue University North Central). "That's all to my teammates. They put me in position to put the ball in the basket, so that's all to them." IU East (18-8, 8-3) maintained sole possession of second place in the KIAC. Brescia fell to 8-17 overall and 3-9 in the conference. Isaac scored seven points and assisted on another basket in IU East's game-ending 11-2 run after Brescia tied it at 71 with about three minutes remaining. Isaac started the decisive run with a four-point play. Isaac scored 12 of his points in the first six minutes as IU East opened the game with a 16-0 run. "He started it and finished it in good fashion," said IU East coach Mark Hester. "It's always a big day when you see someone go through the program who has grown so much as a player and a person." IU East also got 23 points from sophomore guard Huston Clark (Kokomo, Ind./Kokomo High School), who had missed the previous two games with an injury. Austin Morris led Brescia with 21 points. IU East plays at NAIA Division II No. 8 and KIAC leader Indiana University Southeast on Feb. 8. Tipoff time is 7 p.m.
