RICHMOND, Ind. - Marcus Isaac scored 18 points to go over 1,000 points for his
Indiana University East career as the Red Wolves men's basketball team defeated the
University of Michigan-Dearborn 87-77 on Dec. 22 at the Richmond High School Tiernan
Isaac (Indianapolis, Ind./Purdue University North Central) now has 1,008 points at
Isaac needed 57 games to reach 1,000 points, the second-fastest IU East player to
reach the milestone.
"Well deserved, obviously. A big honor," said IU East coach Mark Hester. "I'm proud
of Marcus for accomplishing that. He's gotten a ton better since he's been here, and
I look for him to continue to get even better as a player."
Tyler Fangman (Cold Spring, Ky./Beechwood High School) led IU East with 19 points.
Huston Clark (Kokomo, Ind./Kokomo High School) just missed a double-double,
finishing with 15 points and nine rebounds.
Julius Porter led Michigan-Dearborn (3-12) with 33 points.
IU East (9-4) returns to action Jan. 2 with its Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic
Conference opener at Brescia University.
