IU EAST’S CRUMP NAMED TO ACADEMIC ALL-DISTRICT TEAM

RICHMOND, Ind. - Lauren Crump, a senior setter on the Indiana University East
volleyball team, has been named to the Capital One Academic All?District Volleyball
Team, selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).
Crump (Indianapolis, Ind./Scecina Memorial High School) is one of seven honorees on
the District 3 College Division list, which includes NAIA, Canadian and two-year
schools from Illinois, Indiana and Michigan.
Crump is a Communication major. She is the first IU East volleyball player to earn
CoSIDA Academic All-District honors.
Crump leads the NAIA with 12.36 assists per set and is on pace to become the NAIA's
leader in career assists during the rally scoring era.
First?team Academic All?District honorees advance to the Capital One Academic
All?America Team ballot, where first?, second? and third?team All?America honorees
will be selected later this month.
Crump and the NAIA No. 14 Red Wolves (40-3) play in the Kentucky Intercollegiate
Athletic Conference tournament Nov. 9 and 10 at Cincinnati Christian University.
