IU EAST'S STRETE NAMED KIAC PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Indiana University East senior middle hitter Breezy Strete (Troy, Ohio/Troy High
School) is the Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Volleyball Player of the
Week, the league announced Oct. 8.
Strete totaled 83 kills and had a hand in 16 blocks this past week as IU East won
five of six matches, including a win against No. 17 Madonna University.
Strete was named to the all-tournament team at the Indiana Institute of Technology
Liz Lykowski Memorial Tournament on Oct. 5 and 6.
Strete leads the Kentucky Intercollegiate Athletic Conference with 3.2 kills per set
and is 20th in the NAIA with a .365 hitting percentage.
Strete has won the KIAC Volleyball Player of the Week honor six times in her career.
IU East is 25-2 and ranked 18th in the NAIA. The Red Wolves host NCAA Division II
opponent Cedarville University on Oct. 9 at 7 p.m. at Seton Catholic High School.
