TERRE HAUTE, Ind. - The Indiana University East women's tennis team fell 8-1 against Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology on March 22 at the Wabash Valley Tennis Center.

The Red Wolves fell to 0-2 on their spring season. Rose-Hulman is 11-5.

Redshirt sophomore No. 2 singles player Paige Froman (Rushville, Ind./Ball State University) picked up a win for IU East, rallying from match point down to defeat Melissa Montgomery 4-6, 7-6 (7-5), 1-0 (10-4). Montgomery was an all-Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference player in the fall. The match ended after 10:30 p.m.

IU East plays two matches Saturday at Wittenberg University. The Red Wolves face Wittenberg at 12:30 p.m. and Transylvania University at 4 p.m.
