How to Set Up Dual Live Audio and Hidden Video for Delayed Video Broadcasts
This tutorial will guide those schools that can do a live audio broadcast, but are not allowed live video of a game due to their high school association rules (such as in North Carolina and Ohio). This provides them the opportunity to broadcast the audio live, yet also do a video broadcast (with the live audio feed) simultaneously for archiving.
First, loging to your IBN account at at ibn.ihigh.com.
Click on the "Click Here to Schedule a New Broadcast" link.
Schedule BOTH the audio and the video broadcasts for the same time. To avoid confusion, you should differentiate the two by noting which one is video in the title. For this demonstration, we'll schedule the Audio broadcast first.
When scheduling the Video broadcast, make sure to check the "Hide this broadcast" box.
You will now see both broadcasts in your IBN schedule.
Run the iHigh.TV Live Stream software as outlined in the Broadcast Tutorial.
Now select the Video Broadcast.
The iHigh.tv LiveStream window will display the Video information. DO NOT PRESS "Start Broadcast" at this time.
Now run a second instance of the iHigh.TV Live Stream software. This time, select the Audio Broadcast, but DO NOT PRESS "Start Broadcast" just yet.
Return to the Video Broadcast and press "Start Broadcast".
Immediately return to the Audio Broadcast and press "Start Broadcast"
NOTE: The audio will most likely get a broadcast point before the video.
Do the broadcast. When finished, press "Stop Broadcast" on the Audio Broadcast.
Then click the "Exit" button.
Next, press "Stop Broadcast" on the Video Broadcast.
Then click that broadcast's "Exit" button.
The Audio will be archived on your site. The Video will remain hidden in IBN Broadcast Manager.
When ready to release the Video broadcast to your site's archive area, go to IBN Broadcast Manager and uncheck "Hide this Broadcast" and click on "Update".
In a few seconds this broadcast will appear in your site's archives.
