HOW DO I?
How to utilize the Countdown Widget on your ihigh.com site
The iHigh.com technical staff recently added a Countdown Widget in your School Settings tools. The Countdown Widget is an easy and eye-catching way to promote an important upcoming event at your school or organization. The Widget is incredibly simple to set up with only three easy steps.
Step 1 – Enter your Countdown text
First, you must login to your school site with your Adminstrator login information. Then click on "School Settings" in the Administrator Menu.
Scroll down to the "Countdown Widget Configuration" section. First, we'll look at the "Countdown Text" entry field. This is your countdown module text. Once populated, a countdown module will display on your school's iHigh.com home page, with this as the event you are counting down to. Example: Football Kickoff!
Step 2 – Enter the time of the event
This is your cowntdown module time. Once populated, a countdown module will display on your school's iHigh.com home page, with this as the time you are counting down to. Example: August 7, 2010 17:30
Note: The date/time must be in the above format, with the time being in 24 hour format.
Step 3 – Enter the URL you want to direct your fans toward
This is your cowntdown module URL. Once populated, a countdown module will display on your school's iHigh.com home page, with this as the URL that users will be directed to if they click on the countdown text, such as an article previewing the event, or the live broadcast of the event.
Note: The URL must be a fully qualified URL, with http:// in front of the web site address.
Now scroll down to the "Save Settings" section and just click on "Save."
You will then be redirected to your home page, and you will now see the Countdown Widget on the right side of the page.
