Home » Football NewsKaty JH 8A Edges out WMJH 8A 24-14October 31, 2012 By Doug Johnson of The GrindThe biggest junior high football game every year is the Katy Junior High School 8th grade A-team vs long time Rival West Memorial Junior High 8th grade A-team. Westmo as it's often called is the districts second oldest junior high and openend in 1976. Once it opened WMJH automatically became KJH's rival with a twist since these schools both feed into Katy High School and most of these kids will be teamates as freshman. In the last few years the A-team game has brought out packed stands, both teams bands show up along with the schools 8th grade cheerleaders. Most of the boys beleive that the fight for starting positions in high school start with this game.
