NPF Commissioner Cheri Kempf to Open Bucs Home Season

February 13, 2014
By Scott Vickery of Hoover High School

Hoover Bucs Softball will have special guest Cheri Kempf throw out the first pitch at the Bucs' home opener versus defending Alabama State Champion Sparkman High School on Tuesday, February 25.  Kempf was hired as Commissioner of National Pro Fastpitch in February, 2007.  Prior to joining NPF, she owned and operated the world's largest fastpitch softball training facility, Club K in Nashville, Tennessee.  In addition to Club K and the NPF, Kempf has been a popular television analyst for college and professional softball coverage working for networks and sports channels including ESPN, Fox Sports, Cox Sports, YES Network, and Comcast Sports; and has been a staple in EPSN's coverage of the NCAA Tournament and the Women's College World Series.  Please help the Bucs welcome Cheri Kempf to Hoover High School!
