Buccanettes Results from UDA State Championship

Congratulations to the JV and Varsity Buccanettes on their performances this past Saturday at the UDA State Championship. The JV team placed 1st in Jazz and 2nd in Hip Hop. The Varsity team placed 4th in jazz and 2nd in hip hop. Stephanie Irving placed 1st in the solo competition and Kathryn Dinsmore placed 2nd. 

The varsity jazz score was 81.75. The 1st place score was 83.38. So between 1st and 4th there was a difference of 1.63. All the teams in the jazz category were very strong so it basically came down to the judges opinion and what style of jazz they preferred. 

We are looking forward to nationals this coming weekend and competing against some of the top teams in the nation!
