Math Team Results

The math teams competed this weekend at Vestavia Hills High School's math tournament.  The results are as follows:

 The Geometry team placed 2nd overall, a mere 5 points behind the 1st place winner on a total of about 230 points.  Daniel Phillips placed 6th individually, Lucy Wang placed 9th individually, Joon Shin placed 10th individually, Connor Jones placed 11th individually, Wilson Wong placed 13th individually, and Zheye Zhang placed 14th individually.  Team high scores were from Daniel Phillips, Lucy Wang, Joon Shin, and Connor Jones.

The Algebra 2 team placed 1st overall.  Danny Johns placed 1st individually, Abhay Thottassery placed 8th individually, Ishant Yadav placed 9th individually, Marshall Strickland placed 11th individually, Richard Chen placed 14th individually, and Alex Turyk placed 15th individually.  Team high scores were from Danny Johns, Abhay Thottassery, Ishant Yadav, and Marshall Strickland.  Students ciphering were Richard Chen, Marshall Strickland, Abhay Thottassery, and Danny Johns.

 The Comprehensive team placed 5th overall.  Xianming Li placed 10th individually.  Team high scores were from Xianming Li, Sunny Thodupunuri, Abdullah Tarawneh, and Dong Kim.  Students ciphering were Sunny Thodupunuri, Abdullah Tarawneh, Jacob Varner, and Xianming Li.
