Not so fast Indiana; Big Ten officiating change could slow Hoosiers

ROSEMONT, Ill. — Coach Kevin Wilson hasn't had a winning record in any of his three Indiana University seasons, but his hurrying Hoosiers are influencing Big Ten football.

The Big Ten is introducing an eighth on-field official in 2014, the first increase since adding a seventh in 1983. The new referee is a center judge, who will stand in the offensive backfield and spot the ball before center snaps.
