WASHINGTON, D.C.. -- Senior Callie Dennison and sophomore Kristin Gutierrez combined on a five-hit shutout to lead Butler to a 2-0 victory over host Georgetown in the final game of a three-game BIG EAST series on Saturday, April 19. The win gave the Bulldogs the series, 2-1.
Dennison, getting her second series' start, blanked the Hoyas on five hits through four innings, while picking up her second win in as many days. The final run of the game came an inning later when Kristen Boros doubled down the leftfield line, advanced to third on a wild pitch and scored on a sacrifice bunt by Maria Leichty.

The Bulldogs will continue their road stretch with a non-conference doubleheader at Eastern Illinois on Tuesday, April 22. The first game of that twinbill in Charleston, Ill., is slated for 3 p.m. (CT, 4 p.m. in Indianapolis).
