INDY ELEVEN: Wilt: Gameday Improvements Ahead

April 16, 2014

Dear Indy Eleven Faithful,

Last Saturday night, a sold-out crowd of more than 11,000 fans packed IUPUI's Carroll Stadium to help usher in a new era of soccer in Indiana.  The entire Indy Eleven family would like to thank the state’s thriving soccer community and the community at large for their tremendous show of support leading up to and during this night we’ll never forget.

The atmosphere, entertainment and competition throughout the evening proved to be second to none. However, there was some rough with the smooth – and since the final whistle on Saturday, we have been listening to fan feedback and working non-stop to improve the experience for the next game this weekend.  With our first "full house" now under our belt, Indy Eleven and our game day vendors and partners now have a better understanding of the limitations and challenges faced at Carroll Stadium, and your feedback in recent days will help make this Saturday's game against Tampa Bay an even better experience.

Several valid issues were brought up concerning the game day experience, and we are taking aggressive steps along with our partners to improve all aspects of the game day experience. Special attention is focused on the areas you have spoken up the most about – concessions and merchandise points of sale and parking ingress. We are committed to communicating with you the updates and changes made so that you are well aware of the improvements to come this weekend, a list that includes:

  • Staffing doubled at stands to cut down on wait times.
  • Additional beer stands placed behind grandstand and NE and SW corners.
  • Two-fold increase of amount of in-stand vendors.
  • Provide in-seat service and food and beverage stands on East Deck for Premier Sideline ticket holders.

  • New merchandise stations at both the east and west locations to include increased points of sale.
  • New layout to allow for quicker customer service by staffers at points of sale.
  • Cash only line to be made available at each merchandise station.
  • Dedicated internet service to be provided to allow for quicker credit card transactions.

  • Lot B to be made the “designated lot” for General Lot Season Parking Permit holders, with spots held for all General Parking pass holders.
  • Increased number of lot attendants to monitor ingress patterns between all lots more efficiently.
  • Barnhill and Sports Garages will be opened for gameday parking at the $10 General Parking rate (credit card payment only).
  • Additional entrance points to lots A and B facilitating faster ingress.

General Improvements

  • New stadium and parking maps to be posted prominently on IndyEleven.com and social media channels and distributed to fans via email throughout the week.
  • Increased signage directing Premium Seat Holders to Hospitality Areas located on East Lawn for Club Seat holders and East Deck on north sideline for Premier Seat Holders.
  • Customer Service booth to now be located directly behind East Goal stand to allow better access for fans.
  • Dedicated internet service to Box Office and ticket scanners to ensure smoother entry into building.
  • Facilities checks and improvements to areas such as restrooms, speaker system, wayfinding signage among a myriad of changes around the stadium to improve the experience for all fans.

We would like to thank our partners at Levy Restaurants, Main Event Merchandise Group and ESG Security for their cooperation in implementing these changes to make Indy Eleven games a more enjoyable experience for all. We invite you to continue to send your feedback by email to info@indyeleven.com and via the @IndyEleven Twitter feed using the hashtag #ElevenFeedback to let us know how we can continue to improve our customer service to you, the best fans in the North American Soccer League.
