WEST LAFAYETTE Overcoming turnovers and a few ill-timed shots, Indiana led Purdue by five with 6:30 left in the first half Saturday. The Hoosiers overcame a small rally to then tie the game at 33-apiece 5 1/2 minutes later.
Then, on both sides of halftime, the wheels came off of Indiana's performance in front of a frenzied Mackey Arena crowd.
A combination of poor shots, bad misses, mental miscues and defensive frailty allowed Purdue to build a 20-2 run and, eventually, a 30-point swing over about 22 minutes of game time. Here's a look at how things fell apart for Indiana:
