ISU Women's Soccer Faces Missouri State Friday on Senior Night

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – The ISU women’s soccer team wrap up its home schedule on Friday evening as it host Missouri State in a key Missouri Valley Conference matchup. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. and will honor four seniors and one manager in Senior Day festivities at Memorial Stadium.
Four seniors and a student assistant will be honored in a pre-game ceremony beginning at approximately 6:45 p.m. Seniors Ali Ardaiolo, Taylor Hancock, Taylor Reed and Shelby Troyer along with manager Stacy Clough will be recognized for their contribution to the ISU women’s soccer program.
Currently, ISU sits two points behind the Bears, who come into the contest with a 2-0-2 mark in Valley play. The Sycamores hold a three-game win streak after defeating IUPUI, Evansville and Northern Iowa to improve to 7-8-0 overall and 2-2-0 in the MVC.
The Sycamores are coming off a come-from-behind win over Northern Iowa on Sunday as they used goals from freshman forward Abby Reed and sophomore forward Sydney Loesing in the second half to hold on for a 2-1 win.
Reed leads the team with eight goals and 18 points on the season while sophomore midfielder Kate Johnson follows closely behind with 17 points (seven goals, three assists). Freshman goalie Brittany San Roman has recorded the last three starts and currently holds a .727 save percentage and has 48 saves on the season.
As a team, the Sycamores rank second in the MVC in points (76, 5.07 ppg.), goals (26, 1.73 gpg.) and assists (24, 1.60 apg.).
