GSoc 2A RANKINGS: Carmel tops Hamilton SE in second ISCA poll

The Indiana Soccer Coaches Association has released its second set of girls soccer rankings for Class 2A (the state’s largest grouping of soccer-playing schools), and we have a new No. 1 as Carmel has supplanted now-No. 5 defending state champion South Bend St. Joseph’s at the top.

The Greyhounds earned 195 votes, including six of the first-place variety, to outduel up-from-fourth Hamilton Southeastern (191 and four) for the honor. Evansville Memorial (still third), Indianapolis Cathedral (up one spot from fifth), and St. Joseph’s round out the first five.

Teams are listed by current ranking followed by school name, vote total, and number of first-place votes if applicable. The second ISCA poll (from Aug. 22) for Class 2A:
