BSw RANKINGS: Chesterton, North Central, Carmel finish 1-2-3

The Indiana High School Swim Coaches’ Association has released its eight and final poll for the 2012-13 boys swimming season, and Chesterton will enter this weekend’s sectionals at No. 1.

The Trojans – state champs in 2008 and ’09 – lead a final first five of five-time champ North Central (Indianapolis), three-time defending state champion (with a record 14 titles overall) Carmel, Northridge, and Bloomington North.

Columbus North and Fishers (tied for sixth) round out the Top 10 along with Avon/Jeffersonville and South Bend Saint Joseph.

The rankings are made up by scoring a theoretical 16-place meet using the times/scores of the returning Top 18 individual event times from last year’s sectionals and state finals as well as the fastest reported times of this season.

Teams are listed by ranking followed by school and vote total. The IHSSCA’s Top 49 from Feb. 13:
