EVANSVILLE MATER DEI HOLIDAY CLASSIC
Kentucky powerhouse Union County upends both sixth-ranked Franklin Community and No. 2 host Evansville Mater Dei by less than six points for the crown at this 16-team event.

Union County had only two champions – 120-pound junior Trae Blackwell and 126-pound junior Brock Ervin – but managed eight other Top 6 finishes to fend off the Grizzly Cubs (two champs, eight other Top 6s) and the Wildcats (one, 10), with No. 9 New Palestine (one, seven) placing fifth behind Belleville West (IL).

SPARTAN CLASSIC @ Connersville
East Noble got titles from a trio of wrestlers -- No. 6 Garrett Pepple at 106, No. 8 Connor Knapp at 113, and Sterling Lutter at 120 – and collected six other Top 8 finishes to win both the Class 2A and overall titles.
    
Carroll (Fort Wayne) won one title and had nine other Top 8 wrestlers to place second overall and take the Class 3A title, while host Connersville (one, seven) took third and No. 3 Indianapolis Cathedral (one, four) came home fourth.
