BSw RANKINGS: Northridge, Carmel swaps spots behind Chesterton

The Indiana High School Swim Coaches’ Association has released its second poll for the 2012-13 boys swimming season, and we find some movement going on behind holdover No. 1 Chesterton.

The 2008 and 2009 state champion Trojans now pace a first five of Northridge, three-time defending champ Carmel, Columbus North, and Hamilton Southeastern. (Northridge and Carmel swap spots from the preseason poll, while the Bull Dogs bump up from fifth and HSE jumps from ninth to fifth).

The rest of the Top 10 consists of Fishers (up from 12th), Carroll (Fort Wayne) (11th), Center Grove seventh), Franklin Community, and Jeffersonville (both tied last time for 15th).

The rankings are made up by scoring a theoretical 16-place meet using the times/scores of the returning Top 18 individual event times from last year’s sectionals and state finals as well as the fastest reported times of this season.
