BXC RANKINGS: Carmel, Hamilton SE, Carroll (FW) begin 1-2-3

The Indiana Association of Track and Cross County Coaches has released its first poll of the 2012 Indiana high school boys cross country season, and your first No. 1 after the first week of the season is record-holding 11-time state champion Carmel.

The Greyhounds, who last won the crown in 2008, lead a first five of defending state runner-up Hamilton Southeastern, 2008 runner-up Carroll (Fort Wayne), Lawrence Central, and six-time champion Valparaiso (the last in 2000). The second five consists of three-time defending (and five-time overall) state champion Columbus North, Warsaw, Bedford North Lawrence, Bloomington South, and Zionsville.
