Base ALL-STATE: IHSBCA first-team, honorable mention picks by class

The Indiana High School Baseball Coaches Association has released its 2012 All-State Team. There were two members of the team that were awarded this honor based on their status of being drafted by Major League Baseball; the other members were placed on the team based on the voting of the IHSBCA member coaches.

Brian Abbott, All-State chairman, thanked the All-State committee’s members (Bob Shinkan, Tim Terry, Jeff Closser, and Nick Tremain) for their efforts with the process as well as an excellent turnout from the coaches who voted this season.

The IHSBCA Player of the Year Award will be announced July 13 at the North-South Banquet to be held at Ruxer Field in Jasper. This award is sponsored by Adrenaline Fundraising, which is an official corporate partner of the IHSBCA. (All-Star Weekend information is available at ihsbca.org.)
