The IHSAA Class 4A girls basketball state championship game, interrupted by a television outage March 3, will be rebroadcast in its entirety this Sunday, March 11, at 1 p.m. ET by WTTV-4 in Indianapolis.
With approximately 35 seconds left in regulation of last Saturday’s overtime game between North Central (Indianapolis) and Columbus North, satellite uplink communications were lost after an uplink truck experienced a failure and was not able to successfully reestablish communications. The IHSAA Champions Television Network production continued throughout regulation and the overtime period despite the satellite issues and was recorded from start to finish.
The IHSAA sincerely apologizes to all the viewers who were unable to watch the end of regulation and the overtime period that ensued.
Since initiating the IHSAA Champions Network two years ago, the IHSAA has gone to great lengths to increase the visibility of high school state championship broadcasts. The IHSAA is committed to providing high-quality programming and will take whatever steps are necessary to minimize this happening in the future. Thank you for your understanding, and congratulations to both North Central and Columbus North on an outstanding game.
