Hoops in Overdrive Shoot-Out


In a matchup between Rockdale HS of Georgia and Meridian HS of Mississippi, defense was definitely a priority. This game did not bode well for anyone who could not protect the ball. Both teams hustled and made each other work for every bucket. In the closing minutes, Rockdale trailed. To turn things up quickly, they went to a press tha forced some turnovers and led to baskets. The Rockdale wingmen and center did a great job of finshing strong when the ball was kicked to them in a position to score. The ability to finish and play tight D is what led to Rockdale's 73-70 win.
