Imagine everyone around you cheering, clapping, your fellow wrestlers coming up to you to congratulate you. It all seems like a dream.
A dream Senior Jacob Reiman got to experience.
Reiman is the first wrestler from Holden High School to be a state champion, capping a perfect 47-0 season in the 171-pound weight class recently at state.
"Winning a title is like being on top of the world," he said.
Reiman finished second last year and had made it to state the year before finishing third.
At state this year in Columbia, he beat Daniel Bowness of South Holt, Jake Roometua of Principal, Mike McCollum of Brookfield, and earned a 6-0 decision over Caleb Roberts of Blair Oaks for the Championship.
He went into this season with a motto go hard or go home, and he, "didn't go home."
This just goes to show if you put in hard work, it will all pay off in the end.
