Eagles 5-5 entering break

Odessa 50, Holden 27

Summary: The Eagles made just five of 49 shots for the game as Odessa pulled away for the victory. Matt Borgen and Chase Wright led Holden with seven points each. Most of the Eagles scoring came at the free-throw line, where they were 13 of 20 for the game.



Holden 77, Crest Ridge 53
Summary: Holden closed out the pre-Christmas portion of the season with a good win. After shooting so poorly the night before against Odessa, the Eagles rebounded by making 16 of 32 three-point shots and 13 of 33 from two point range. Matt Borgen led with 22 points and five rebounds. Coleman Anstine added 19 points and four steals. Andrew Metcalf added three points, six assists and four boards while Jordan Sullins had six points, five boards and two assists. Dylan Riley and Chase Wright had nine and eight points each.

JV results:
Holden 38, Odessa 29
Summary: The Eagles won a hard-fought game thanks in part to some balanced scoring. Gavin McAllister and Kalan Littlefield led the way with 11 and 10 points each, respectively. The two also helped the Eagles control the boards with six each. Reece Crabtree added nine points and three steals. Aaron Dougherty and Zach Birkle both had three points while Cody Bruns added two in the victory. 

Holden 51, Crest Ridge 23
Summary: Several Eagles got in the scoring column as the team celebrated the "Pinkout" game with a lopsided victory. Gavin McAllister paced the team with 10 points. 

Bennett Evans added six points. Four  players - Shawn Calhoun, Andrew Metcalf, Kalan Littliefiled and Erik Wise - had four points in the game and netting three points apiece were Zach Birkle, Reece Crabtree, Tyler Schoonover and Lucas Lairson. Cody Bruns, Landon Adams and Elliott Wright each had a basket while Aaron Dougherty made a free-throw to round out the scoring. 

The Holden JV team is 6-1 entering the Holiday break.
