FCCLA stands for Family Career and Community Leaders of America. It is an organization that focuses on making students more community minded and consumer conscious. It also helps them for life after high school.

The officers are Rachael Bedford, President. Shyla McWilliams is the Vice President, Ali Stookey is the secretary, and Kimber Watson is the treasurer.  Mrs. Southard states that she “is looking forward to Star Events, which seniors can participate in.”

The group holds several beneficial drives and participates in helping the community.

Rachael Bedford, President, says, “We need a lot more members, and we’ll be a lot more productive this year.”

When asked, what the responsibilities of an FCCLA president are, Rachael responds, “It’s pretty cool, but there’s so much to do like plan meetings and (events).”

Events coming up sponsored by FCCLA are Can’s for a Cause- Optimist Luncheon, the annual toy drive and clothing drive.

Also, FCCLA members will be going to a skating rink December 5. Mrs. Southard says all members are welcome and it will be during school hours.
