National Honor Society inducted new members on November 15 at an Installation Ceremony at Holden High School.

Fourteen new members consisted of: seniors Skyler Aldrich, Megan Marsh, Max Mickey and Hannah Sisk; juniors Courtney Dougherty, Matt Laing and Hunter Warner; and sophomores Sophia Brown, Nathaniel Closen, Tucker Fletchall, Jake Hoffman, Skyler Myers, Chet Ridgway and Michael Stehwien.

NHS is a school organized club in which members must be selected by an advisor and approved by teachers, must maintain a GPA of 3.5, and get a total of 15 community service hours. Aside from that members must “maintain and encourage high standards of scholarship, leadership, service, and character,” as stated in the NHS pledge.

NHS officers include Christian Holzer, President; Sarah McAninch, Vice President; Katelynn Parmeley, Treasurer; and Morgan Shuette, Secretary. Mrs. Book is the NHS sponsor.
