Home » General NewsSportsmanship SummitAugust 19, 2012 By Justin Remington of Holden High SchoolHolden Middle School and Holden High School students attended the MSHSAA Sportsmanship Summit in Nixa, MO. Both schools have been awarded the 5-Star Leadership School Banner. Holden is one of a small few that have been awarded this award. The program is designed to create a character-driven athletic and activities program, one student, one parent and one coach at a time. At the summit, students gained experiences that show how school activities can provide a venue for leadership development and character building as well as foster a sense of belonging and self-worth.
