MTSU basketball lands 6-8 Florida forward

Florida high school hoops standout Shawn Jones appears to be on his way up.

How high his basketball potential climbs will be determined at MTSU.

Jones, a 6-foot-8 forward, has verbally committed to sign with MTSU during November's NCAA early signing period.

"I'm kind of relieved to put all that thinking I had been doing about recruiting behind me," said Jones, a senior at Miami Hialeah High. "The pressure is gone now, and I don't think I'll be making any recruiting visits any more. I'm real happy with my decision."
