Henry Clay vs. Sayre (Away)

The Lady Devil's faced a rough match against Sayre on Wednesday, April 7. In the end, Henry Clay pulled off a 5-4 win. The following girls hit the courts:

2. Madi Ray vs. Hunter Henderson 4-6, 7-6 ST 12-14
3. Carlisle Berkley vs. Sintelle Kemper 8-5
4. Laura Benrey vs. Lucy Bell Hall 5-8

Doubles:
1. Shae Henry/Elle Tsamas vs. K. McCarthy/P. Garrett 4-6, 4-6
2. Meg Kane/Katie Harris vs. D. Peek/C. Fishback 6-3, 3-6, 6-3
3. Ginny Hoyt/Rachel Geil vs. Ali Zeitlin/Callie Snowden 8-5
4. Melissa Kastelhun/Schuler Ravencraft vs. C. Cruze/C. Combs 4-8
5. Maddie Herring/Lenna Wilson vs. E. Culberston/M. Ganes 4-8

In singles play, Claire and Carlisle dominated with ease. Madi Ray fought hard to miss the win by 2 points in a super tie breaker. Laura made a big comeback and won 4 straight games before falling to Hall. 

In doubles action, Meg and Katie took their opponents in the 3rd set. Ginny, Rachel and Mellissa, Schuler were also successful against the Sayre girls. Shae with Elle and Maddie with Lenna battled though, but could not over take their competitors.
