Yarc Keen is now at a point in her life where she can not dedicate the same to the Raiders and resigned after six seasons on Monday. “It was one of the hardest decisions I ever had to make because those kids mean so much to me,” Yarc Keen said. “I had some really incredible student athletes coming through. I think the world of Harrison and Harrison athletics.” Yarc Keen, who has children ages 3 and 1, cited her family as a reason for her resignation. She will continue teaching health and physical education at Harrison and Battle Ground. Following stops as an assistant at North Montgomery and head coach at Warren Township in Illinois, Yarc Keen took over the Raiders and, against some of the top teams in the state within the Hoosier Crossroads Conference, went 48-53-11 in six seasons. The Raiders won a sectional championship in 2011 and finished runner-up in 2007, ’09 and ’12. The Raiders return 15 players from their sectional roster. “The kids, they’ll do anything for you,” Yarc Keen said. “Harrison student-athletes and people who support program are awesome.” Athletic director Jerry Galema will accept applications and letters of interest until Dec. 21.
