Jefferson Invitational

December 6, 2010
Harlem High School

CHERRY VALLEY - A good week for the Jefferson girls bowling team ended even better when they captured the J-Hawk Girls Invitational on Saturday at Cherry Bowl.

The tournament format featured three regular games, with the host J-Hawks leading Harlem by 45 pins in the 15-team field. Then there was a series of 12 Baker games, a format which calls for different bowlers to participate in different frames within each game, to decide the champion.

The J-Hawks carried their 3,049 pinfall from the regular three games and finished with a 5,421 total after the 12 Baker games for their first tournament win of the season. They edged out Harlem, winners of two tournaments, by 34 pins (5,387).
